This shirt came with no brand on it! I'm sorry :( But I got it at one of those shops on Melrose. It's a thin sweater material in the front and a sheer chiffon in the back incase you can't really tell. Maybe it's lush?!

This elephant dress is so cutesy right?! I love the detail in the back of the colorful paisleys. It is so easy to just throw on with a messy bun and head out for the day. Ando who doesn't need a little elephant luck from time to time?

Just wanted to show you guys what I wore when I was shopping around on Melrose on Sunday. I seriously love walking around here. Knowing that I was heading to Melrose made me want to dress a little more edgy so I had to pull out my vinatge inspired muscle tee and my motor cylce boots. So many interesting stylish people around and the best stores! They have vintage stores and little boutiques where you can find the trendiest most unique stuff. I can't wait to show you all what I got!

Wow! I didn't even realize how scandalous this dress was until I saw these pictures! Definitely not just an every day casual maxi haha. But I do love how it flows and adds a little something to an otherwise basic dress. Summer seems to never be over in LA this year so I'm sure I'll have a few more chances to get some use out of it. 

Costa Chic

A girls night out is absolutely necessary sometimes. But the $17 dollar drinks and the two tomatoes on a single leaf of lettuce that the restaurant calls a "salad" are definitely unnecessary. But at least we were all together??

I love wearing something unexpected when dressing up for a night out. The standard fitted dress or banded skirt don't usually do it for me. I would even like this better if the skirt was fluffier and more tutu-ish. I was brave and wore a bold lip which I normally don't do either but when your roommate's bathroom is filled with every shade Mac ever made, the little "wear me" song they sing gets stuck in your head and you have to put one on so you don't make them sad.

I love mixing prints (as we all do)... especially when they are subtle like these stripes and polka dots. It's so easy and laid back. The pop of this neon bag also makes the outfit a little more unique. It was so easy for my trip home to have dinner with the fam.

Having this new job has made it a little more difficult to keep up with outfit posts. The office is very laid back and very casual. This is the most dressed up I've been since I started! And in order to beat the aweful LA traffic (if that's even possible) I work out after work and become a sweaty mess before I brave the 101 again. By the time I'm home it's almost dark and who wants to get all dressed again and put their makeup back on for a decent photo?

I bought this dress from a small boutique a while back because I loved the long sleeves. It came with a matching sash to tie as a belt but I opted for my little tan belt instead. It's so silky and comfy and the wedges didn't dress it up too much. Maybe a little short for the office but perfect for a smoothie run out in the sun.

I wore this cute little black dress to the Rascal Flatts concert on Friday! I ended up getting tickets for my mom for her birthday at the last minute. It was so incredibly hot...almost unbearable so it was perfect. I wanted to throw on the boots to make it a little more edgy and not so girly. The concert was so amazing! Eli Young band opened for them who are my absolute favorite. It would have been perfect if only the guy sitting next to me wasn't sitting on my lap the entire time.

Yay for it FINALLY being Friday! All this NYFW talk has really made me want to go shopping... maybe I'll have to add that to my weekend plan! Too bad it's still 102 degrees here in LA, all I want to do is start wearing some jackets and fall clothes but it's impossible. So I just had to throw on my leather pants for a dinner with one of my long time besties. It's the only time I can really wear them without pulling a Ross Geller and getting them stuck.

I had been wanting new floral shorts for so long and was so happy when I found these at the LF end-of-summer sale. I love the bright colors and bold pattern. I can't wait to mix them up with other patterns and colored tops too... stay warm a little longer LA! 

I caught the sun right when it was setting...isn't it pretty?! I can't wait to get a nicer camera though. What kind do you guys have? My birthday is in November so it is definitely the only thing on my list! Can't wait for FRIDAY!!!

Slitted Skirts! I want one so badly! Does anyone know where I can find one of these beauties?! I would love to add a couple of these to my end-of-summer/fall wardrobe. So pretty as you walk and it flows. You can wear them dressed up or down. I love them in all these colors as well.

Here are the wine tasting pictures! Man I wish we could go back and do it all over again. So many good wines and so much fun making new friends with the people on our tour. If you guys are ever in the Santa Barbara area, try out Captain Jack's Wine Tours. They pick you up and take you to all the wineries then drop you off at your hotel again.

I wanted to wear something that was still kinda summery even though I'm soooo ready for fall...so I opted for this high wasted Brandy skirt. It got pretty warm so I was able to take off my sweater and be bright and colorful in this neon orange T (too bad I left my sweater at the very first winery...too much wine too fast?). And I love just piling on as much jewelry as possible. Don't try to tell me its too much.
